ORCHARD PARK, NY-- The Buffalo Bills officially introduced Sean McDermott as the team's new head coach.

The news conference was held at the AdPro Fieldhouse.

McDermott was introduced by owner Terry Pegula. The Pegulas did not take questions during the press conference. McDermott, who will report directly to the owners, and Bills GM Doug Whaley answered questions from the Buffalo media.

Neither McDermott or Whaley discussed who will be the Bills' starting quarterback.

McDermott has served as the Panthers' defensive coordinator since 2001 and before that, worked his way up with the Philadelphia Eagles. Before heading to Carolina, McDermott was the Eagles' defensive coordinator and secondary coach.

He is now the Bills' 20th head coach.
