BUFFALO- The International League announced that Bisons 3B Jason Leblebijian has been elected as the starting third baseman on the International League All-Star Team.

Leblebijian and the IL All-Stars will face the best of the Pacific Coast League at the 2017 CHI Franciscan Health Triple-A All-Star Game, presented by Gildan, on Wednesday, July 12 at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, WA. (9:05 p.m., MLB Network, ESPN 1520 AM).

Leblebijian, who led all third basemen in online fan voting, has played in 74 of the Bisons 78 games this season and hit .294 with eight home runs, a team-best 42 RBI and .369 on-base percentage. He also leads all Bisons sluggers with 25 extra-base hits this season. Leblebijian has averaged .342 with runners in scoring position and has a trio of games where he drove in four runs or more. He was named International League batter of the week, May 30-June 4, after hitting .481 during the seven-game stretch.

Leblebijian is making his second straight All-Star Game appearance, as he was a Florida State League All-Star for Single-A Dunedin in 2016. He joins Matt Hague (2015), Andy Marte (2008), Greg LaRocca (2003), Bill Selby (2000) and Russell Branyan (1999) as Bisons modern era All-Star third basemen.
