Bills release Nate Peterman

The Bills have officially released quarterback Nate Peterman.

ORCHARD PARK - The Bills made a long awaited and expected move Monday night in releasing quarterback Nate Peterman.

Peterman had thrown 13-interceptions in limited game action from last year through ten games this season. The Bills made the decision to start Matt Barkley against the Jets this past Sunday, rather than put Peterman on the field with Josh Allen (elbow) not quite ready to return to game action.

Barkley threw for 232-yards and a pair of touchdowns with no interceptions in a 41-10 win that basically sealed Peterman's fate had it not been sealed already.

The Bills elected to start Peterman to open the season at Baltimore but pulled him after he threw two interceptions.

The Bills drafted Peterman in the fifth round of the 2017 draft out of Pittsburgh.
