MIAMI -- A boy from Niagara Falls who is battling terminal illness was able to meet his basketball idol on Wednesday night.

Five-year-old, Shawn Kennedy has a rare form of brain cancer but he was able to spend an unforgettable evening with the Golden State Warriors and reigning NBA MVP, Stephen Curry.

“Baby Shawn” sat with the team during warm-ups and then afterward got to spend some one-on-one time with Curry.

The NBA star even signed and gave Shawn his sneakers and invited him and his brother into the locker room before the game against the Miami Heat. In the locker room Shawn handed out “Bravest Baller” rubber bracelets to the entire Warriors team.
