TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. - The Brighton Fire Department and National Guard hosted a free Narcan training session Saturday.

Those who attended learned how to recognize the signs of an overdose and how to administer the heroin antidote.

Each participant received two free doses of Narcan to take home with them.

The training ran from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the Brighton Fire Department on Jamaica Road in Tonawanda.
