CITY OF TONAWANDA, NY — A Tonawanda woman is facing driving-while-intoxicated charges after an early-morning crash on the Twin City Highway Saturday.
According to police, Leah M. Sidote, 21, of Grant Street, Tonawanda, was exiting the highway to Young Street too fast when she bounced off the guard rails and finally came to a stop when her vehicle was impaled on the guard rail.
Sidote was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, imprudent speed and possession of marijuana. A breath test revealed a blood alcohol level .19 percent.
Sidote was uninjured in the crash.
She was held on $250 bail.
