So, what is it, TUH-Rod or TY-Rod?

It all started when NFL Network reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala tweeted that one of Taylor's new offensive linesman, Joel Bitonio, told her how Taylor pronounces his name.

BUFFALO, N.Y. - It's the new, local social media take-over question. It's similar to the 'Laurel' or 'Yanny' debacle from earlier this year...but with former Buffalo Bills' quarterback Tyrod Taylor.

It all started when NFL Network reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala tweeted that one of Taylor's new offensive linesman, Joel Bitonio, told her how Taylor pronounces his name:

Wait, what?

Taylor played in a Bills jersey for 3 seasons and never once publicly mentioned that the pronunciation of his name is actually TUH-Rod and not TY-Rod.

Friday afternoon brought some light to the end of the tunnel when Marc Istook, host of NFL NOW on the NFL Network, tweeted that he got clarification from Peter John-Baptiste, Senior Vice-President of Communications for the Cleveland Browns of the pronunciation:

2 On Your Side reached out to John-Baptiste to get more information and he told us that it's pronounced, "TY-Rod, just as it has always been."

Which leaves one person to get the actual answer from: Tyrod Taylor.

Taylor met with the media in Cleveland after practice on Tuesday and addressed the situation. According to a YouTube video taken by Canton Repository, an Ohio-based newspaper, here is what Taylor had to say:

"Tyrod [TY-Rod] is definitely what I've heard most of my life, but my mom calls me Tyrod [TUH-Rod], but she also doesn't call me by my first name."

Which still leaves the question: TUH-Rod or TY-Rod? You can decide.
