BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Thousands of cyclists will take to the streets Monday evening at 6 p.m. sharp for a weekly community-building ride.

Bikers will meet for this week's Slow Roll Buffalo ride at 5 p.m. in Riverside Park, 2607 Niagara Street, Buffalo.

Event organizers ask drivers to be aware that the group will ride through several major streets, including Kenmore, Military, Tonawanda, Ontario and Niagara. They will also ride along a few residential streets in Riverside and Black Rock.

The event will end with an after-party featuring live music, food trucks and drinks.

Slow Roll received some complaints in late August about people getting stuck in traffic after a Monday night ride through downtown and the Elmwood Village. In response, organizers have been continuing to get the word out about when and where Slow Roll rides are planned so motorists can be aware.

Slow Roll Buffalo is a free community ride through different parts of Buffalo every Monday night. For more information, visit: http://slowrollbuffalo.org/
