Sabres Clean Out Their Lockers

After finishing dead last during the regular season the Sabres cleaned out their lockers Monday morning.

BUFFALO, NY- After a dismal regular season, the Sabres cleaned out their lockers Monday morning.

It was a somber and reflective mood as the team once again prepared for another long off season.

Veteran Ryan O'Reilly said that all the losing made him "lose his love for the game at times." It was a stunning admission. He added he wasn't mentally tough enough. O'Reilly said "we're stuck with this mindset of being ok with losing. Its sad."

When asked about O'Reilly's comments Sam Reinhart said that feeling had crept into the team at times. And that the way to get rid of it is "it takes everybody showing up and really hating that feeling."

For a franchise record seventh straight season the Sabres will watch the Stanley Cup playoffs on television.

General Manager Jason Botterill is scheduled to meet with the media Wednesday.
