LOS ANGELES - A report by the Los Angeles Times says a Buffalo native is at the center of a drug scandal at the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine.
The article says Buffalo native Dr. Carmen A. Puliafito, who was the Dean of the Keck School of Medicine, used methamphetamine and other drugs with criminals during his tenure.
Puliafito's drug usage was reportedly captured in photos and videos shot in 2015 and 2016. While the LA Times article says its journalists reviewed those photos and videos, they were not published.
The LA Times also reports Puliafito resigned from his position, which paid $1.1 million a year, in March 2016, saying he wanted to "explore other opportunities."
