BUFFALO, N.Y. -- It was the beginning of the end of an era along Main Street in Buffalo Monday.

It was busy inside Record Theatre, which started its "going out of business" sale Monday morning, after announcing earlier this month that it would close.

Everything is 30 percent off, and the prices will get lower until everything's gone. The store says this could take until the end of August.

But for a lot of those who stopped by the store Monday, it was about more than just getting a deal.

"Every other person has a story and the reminisce with you about how awesome everything was, how sad they're going to be," said Record Theatre Manager Joe Igielinski. "They're always reminding you about the green stamps we gave out or the apples they used to give out; everyone has a story about it."

The store at Main and Lafayette is open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., for those interested in checking it out these next few weeks.
