A line down in Hamburg left thousands of customers without power Sunday afternoon.
According to NYSEG, 4,730 customers were without power in Erie County, as of 1:30 p.m. Sunday. More than 6,000 customers were without power earlier Sunday, including Orchard Park, Hamburg and West Seneca.
The wide-spread outage in Hamburg was because a primary line was down on Cherry Place, according to the Town of Hamburg Emergency Services' Facebook page.
In the Town of Clarence, 905 customers are currently without power after a transformer exploded, according to Clarence Police.
