For the first time since 1969 the local primary elections will not be held in September, but rather in June.
Polls will be open on June 25 from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. in Erie County. Poll times could vary in other counties.
The June primary was decided on as a way to combine several different primaries into one day, ultimately saving money.
