NEW YORK STATE -- In New York, the state is looking to make it easier for doctors to get medical marijuana to patients in need.
The health department is now letting physicians register online and then certify patients that same day.
One of the complaints about the program was that there weren't enough doctors because the registration process was cumbersome.
The health department now says a third of patients who have signed up have done so in the last three months, since chronic pain became a qualifying condition.
