ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. -- High winds throughout much of Western New York caused power outages that affected hundreds of customers Tuesday.

Around 10 p.m., National Grid's Outage map showed 55 customers had lost power in the Buffalo area around Best Street and the Kensington Expressway. The estimated restoration time was 11 p.m.

As of 7:53 p.m. Tuesday, 111 customers in Erie County were without power. Customers affected were in the Town of Orchard Park and in Buffalo.

The Estimated Restoration Time for Orchard Park homes was 8:30 p.m. and for Buffalo homes on Iris and Jasmine Ave was 10:45 p.m., according to NYSEG's Outage Map.

Areas affected included the Town of Colden, the Village of East Aurora, and the Town of Aurora.
