Help us find the owner of this 1978 class ring from Altus High

A Grand Haven man is hoping to find the owner of a class ring he found years ago.

Someone out there is missing their class ring, and one Grand Haven man is hoping he can help them get it back.

Bob Brunais told WZZM 13 that a friend of his, also named Bob, found the ring with a metal detector on the Muskegon High School football field between 10 to 15 years ago.

Brunais told his friend he would help find the owner of the ring, but his leads were falling short.

"I've had it for a while," Brunais explained. "I tried looking on the Internet for where the school might be, but they were all located in other states and down south -- I wasn't having any luck."

Brunais brought the ring to the WZZM 13 Studios on Thursday, Dec. 7.

The ring has a yellow center stone and reads ALTUS HIGH around it. On the left side it says 1978 and on the right KAREN.

"I was hoping to get the word out," Brunais told us. "I hope we find the person who's missing it."
