WYOMING COUNTY, N.Y. —A Mayville man is headed to prison for at least seven years for his involvement in a deadly crash in Wyoming County.
Joshua Huntress was sentenced 7.5 to 15 years in prison for aggravated vehicular homicide on Thursday for the crash on Route 20A in Orangeville last July. He waived an indictment and pleaded guilty in December.
District Attorney Donald O’Geen said that Huntress ingested various controlled substances and then attempted to drive from a motel in Warsaw to Chautauqua County.
Huntress hit two motorcycles, killing Tomasa Martinez and sending three other people to the hospital.
Martinez, age 66, of North Tonawanda, was a passenger on one of the motorcycles and was taken to Wyoming County Community Hospital where she died from her injuries.
