BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A 25-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning in a shooting on Sherman Street, Buffalo Police say.

On Sunday, police identified the 25-year-old man as Curtis Byers, of Buffalo.

Officers responded to a call about the shooting just before 2:30 a.m. It happened in the 200 block of Sherman Street.

Byers was shot multiple times, detectives said. He was declared dead at the scene, officials say.
