LOCKPORT, N.Y. -- Although it's been more than two months since the deadly fire in Lockport, the community came together Wednesday to thank the hundreds of first responders who worked themselves to exhaustion protecting homes and lives.

A "Salute to Stevens Street Heroes" was held Wednesday at the Palace Theater.

Representatives from more than 50 fire companies battled the flames at the High Tread International facility in Lockport.

Each of the companies got a call up to the stage Wednesday to be honored for their life-saving response.

The ceremony ended with newly-released drone footage that firefighters took from above that provided a sobering view of how destructive the fire was.
