Labatt Brew House Opens its Doors

A brewhouse, a restaurant, and apartments are filling in space at 79 Perry Street in Downtown Buffalo.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Labatt Brew House and The Draft Room opened for business Saturday.

The brewing company wants to use the space to get feedback on their products directly from customers. The first-floor space includes 10 barrels, and there's also an in-house brewmaster who oversees production and experimentation of all the brews served in the tasting room.

The adjacent restaurant, The Draft Room, boasts a menu specifically crafted to compliment the beers on tap. In addition to serving beers from Labatt USA, the Draft Room serves a selection of other beers and two wines.

The mixed-use renovation at 79 Perry Street is revitalizing a building that had previously been a warehouse for local supermarket operator, Flickinger Co.

The structure was originally built in 1919, and many of the original building elements were a key part of the renovation. The Labatt Brewhouse and the Labatt USA headquarters are on the first floor and second floor respectively.

The second and third floor of the building will have offices for Pegula Sports and Entertainment, and apartments will go on the fifth floor.
