BUFFALO, NY — Before the Sabres game Saturday, Western New York native Emily Pfalzer dropped the puck for the ceremonial opening face off.
Pfalzer won a gold medal with Team USA's women's hockey team at the Olympics in Pyongchang South Korea.
"I hope it inspires young girls to play the sport we love and to continue playing and to dream big. Just don't let anyone tell you you can't do something and keep working hard and making sure you have fun," Pfazler said.
