LOCKPORT, NY — An overnight fire in Lockport caused more than $13,000 worth of damage, according to the City of Lockport Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the scene at 61 Elmwood Ave. shortly at 12:15 a.m. Sunday. The two-family home had flames coming from the rear of the home on the second story, as well as the "electrical service sending showers of sparks into the rear yard," according to the Fire Dept.

The fire was declared out at 1:48 a.m.

Nobody was in the lower unit. Firefighters deemed the upper unit vacant.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of this fire remains under investigation.
