BUFFALO, N.Y. - Buffalo Police are investigating a deadly single-car crash that happened early Saturday morning.
The crash happened in the 1100 block of Main Street near Best Street around 3:45 a.m.
Accident investigators say a vehicle going northbound on Main crossed over the double yellow lines, went up on the sidewalk, hit a metal and concrete sign, and flipped over.
Two people were in the vehicle.
Buffalo firefighters removed one man from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say he was in his late 20s and was from Buffalo.
A woman in her late 20s, also from Buffalo, was taken to the Erie County Medical Center. She is in stable condition.
Police are investigating if speeding played a role in the crash.
