BUFFALO, N.Y. — The WNY Coalition for the Homeless will keep Code Blue Buffalo shelters in Buffalo and the Southtowns as well as warming centers across the City of Buffalo open.
These are the overnight shelters that are open from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.:
- Harbor House: 241 Genesee Street
- Holy Cross: 412 Niagara Street
- Rural Outreach Center: 765 Olean Road, East Aurora
If you see someone in need, call 211 to have an outreach team dispatched from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
To receive Code Blue updates for the city of Buffalo, text CodeBlueBuffalo to 898-211. For Code Blue updates for Southern Erie County, text CodeBlueSouthernErie to 898-211.
Individuals in need of Code Blue Shelter between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. should go to the NFTA Metro Transportation Center. If you are in need before 7 p.m., you should go to Harbor House as individuals will not be allowed to wait at the NFTA Center.
Outside of Buffalo, individuals can call 716-288-1233 for the ROC outreach van. The van will pick up individuals in Southern Erie County, specifically the towns of West Seneca, Elma, Marilla, Hamburg, Orchard Park, Aurora, Wales, Evans, Eden, Concord, Boston, Holland, Brant, Angola, Gowanda, North Collins, Sardinia, Collins and Springville.
