BUFFALO, NY - Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation took the wraps off its conceptual design plan, for a plot of land it seeks to develop downtown which currently serves as a surface parking lot.
The project proposal for 201 Ellicott St. is described by the company as a “mixed-use” project, featuring residential, offices, and retail space including a long sought for downtown grocery store.
The 190 apartment and condominium units will be in an 18 story tower included in the project, which also will contain a “spacious, public green, called “Upper Terrace Park,” according to the company.
Ciminelli’s plan calls for approximately 44,000 square-feet of retail space, including a proposed 12,000 – 15,000 sq. ft. Orchard Fresh grocery store concept by Tops Markets.
The 2.5 acre site where the yet to be named development is slated to rise, is bordered by Ellicott, Oak, Eagle and Clinton streets, and is adjacent to Hotel Lafayette, The Buffalo & Erie County Public Library and the NFTA bus terminal.
