BUFFALO, N.Y.-- The city of Buffalo is making some changes along Hertel Avenue to give people easier access to garbage and recycling totes.
The first of 27 new custom-made tote corrals were unveiled Monday. The black, iron corrals will cover the totes and keep them from blowing over.
They were custom-made by Western New York company, Arc Iron Creations.
Buffalo Common Council Member, Joel Ferleto said, "the business community and the residents wanted these cages to hold the garbage and recycling because so many people will go in and get food to go and walk around and now have a spot to throw their garbage out. It's a tremendous addition for Hertel Avenue."
The remaining 26 corrals will be installed over the next few days.
