BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Buffalo SWAT responded to the scene of a standoff in North Buffalo Tuesday.
There was a large police presence at the scene on Standish Road and Taunton Place. Buffalo Police said it was a family dispute between a father and a 33-year-old son at a home on Standish Road.
At some point in an argument the son hit his father with some sort of object. Police were called when the 33-year-old barricaded himself inside the home and refused to come out.
Emergency responders treated the father at the scene for minor injures.
With the help of negotiators, the 33-year-old surrendered to police without incident just after 1:30 p.m., police say. The man is in custody and additional charges are pending.
The son may have hit his father. He then barricaded himself in the house.
