BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Police Department and the Buffalo SWAT responded to a standoff situation around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at a residence in North Buffalo.
Police say a suicidal male barricaded himself inside a residence on Covington Road, between North Drive and Parkside Avenue. No one was injured, but roads were closed in that area for a few hours.
The individual surrendered without incident around 7:30 p.m., and was taken to ECMC to be evaluated, according to Buffalo Police.
