BUFFALO, NY - You will find Buffalo politicians in Philadelphia for the Democratic National Convention at a themed 'Buffalo Night' party. It kicks off once the speeches end.

"This is a party given by the city of good neighbors in the city of brotherly love," said Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown.

"Buffalo Night at the DNC in Philly is an opportunity for people to mingle, network, for us to tell the Buffalo story, the story of the renaissance that's taking place in the city of Buffalo," said the Mayor.

The hosts are Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, Congressman Brian Higgins, Assemblywoman Crystal Peoples-Stokes, Common Council President Darius Pridgen and Erie County Democratic party chairman Jeremy Zellner.

The party is open to everyone from New York. Polonarz hopes media types like Wolf Blitzer, a Western New York native will stop by the party, along with other former Buffalonians.

"We may be a long drive away from New York City, but we're still part of NY and we want to let those people know Buffalo has its own identity," said the County Executive.

The party will be held at Con Murphy's Irish Pub at the Windsor Suites in Philadelphia.
