BUFFALO, NY - A Buffalo man has been sentenced for his role in a double stabbing back in October of 2016.

Dennis Howard, 26, was sentenced to 16 years in prison plus five years post-release supervision, according to Erie County District Attorney John Flynn.

Howard pleaded guilty in May to two counts of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree after he stabbed a man and woman in a Kensington Avenue apartment.

The female came home to her apartment and found that it was burglarized. When she asked a male neighbor to help her search the apartment for the intruders, Howard stabbed the man in throat. Howard then stabbed the woman multiple times.

Both victims survived, but suffered life-threatening injuries.
