BUFFALO, N.Y. -- It's not every day kids get to go to Disney. For students at a local dance studio, the Disney dream has come true.

Alana is one of 27 students who performed in Florida at Walt Disney World.

"I called my grandma, I was like 'Oh my Gosh, I got into Disney," Alana said.

"This is an amazing opportunity," said Jayme Glover-Smith, owner of Studio J. "Something like this doesn't come very often and something like this isn't something many students wouldn't dream of being able to do to, to perform in Disney. "

Last year, Studio J, on Kenmore Ave. in Buffalo, submitted an audition video to Disney. A couple days later, they were selected to come down and perform.

"It's not a competition or anything," Jayme said. "It's just a performance on a Disney stage and we'll be performing on the Marketplace Stage in Disney Springs. Our show is 20 minutes long and it's just Studio J. So we're going to be entertaining a couple hundred to a thousand guests."

2 On Your Side caught up with the dancers during a recent rehearsal. Tap and ballet are among the dance classes offered at the studio.

"Most of the students come here from the inner city and surrounding areas, low to middle class families," Glover-Smith, who has been dancing since she was 2, said. "We pretty much serve everyone."

That's why this trip is so special -- after all, it is Disney!

"I want to see Tinker Bell, I want to see Princess Tiana, and I want to dance!" said Alana.

"We are excited to go down and represent Buffalo," Jayme said.

They performed on stage at Disney Saturday, July 8.
