AMHERST, N.Y. -- Amherst's winter parking restrictions have been delayed until mid-November, the town's supervisor Dr. Barry Weinstein announced Monday.

On-street parking will be available in Amherst until Nov. 15, according to the supervisor's office.

The normal winter ban, which does not allow parking on Amherst streets from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. every night, will take effect Nov. 16.

The delay is due to unseasonably warm weather, the supervisor's office says.
