BUFFALO, N.Y.-- North Buffalo residents in the Hertel Avenue-Voorhees Street neighborhood lost power Saturday due explosion around 8 p.m.
According to Steve Brady, National Grid spokesperson, the outage was caused by an "underground cable fault."
Service was restored to affected customers at about 9:45 p.m.
According to National Grid, about 800 lost power.
Buffalo Fire Department dispatch said that a caller reported three loud explosions that caused power to go out.
