NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson says a criminal probe was being conducted at a residence in Niagara Falls, Tuesday.

The probe prompted Homeland Security special agents among other agencies to respond to a residence near the intersection of Packard Road and Royal Avenue, near Gill Creek Park.

Agents were still on the scene as of around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, said Khaalid Walls, Northeast Regional Communications Director and spokesman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Walls also said additional details may be available later this week.
