RANDOLPH, N.Y. - A Steamburg man was arrested in Cattaraugus County Wednesday for allegedly selling fentanyl-laced heroin, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office.
Dakotah Kaltenbach, 30, is facing two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and two counts of Criminal Safe of a Controlled Substance. He was arrested by the Orlean Office of Southern Tier Regional Drug Taskforce (SRDTF) after an investigation that started in early 2017.
Kaltenbach is accused of selling heroin, laced with fentanyl, a synthetic opioid which according to the DEA is 25 to 50 times stronger than heroin and 50 to 100 times stronger than morphine.
He was arraigned in the Randolph Town Court.
