ALBION, N.Y. - More charges have been filed against a man and woman from Albion for allegedly sexually assaulting children between the ages of four and 15 over the past eight years.
Richard Hering, 45, and his girlfriend, Renee Koch, 54, face several charges including sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
The two were originally charged on February 27, when they appeared in the Town of Albion Court. Hering and Koch were both charged with first degree sexual abuse, forcible touching, and endangering the welfare of a child. They were placed in the Orleans County Jail (on $20,000 and $10,000 bail, respectively).
Hering and Koch were released on March 7 after placing bail, only for Hering to be arrested again two days later on the 9th, after investigators found additional information.
He was then charged with predatory sex assault against a child, rape, and incest. He is back in the Orleans County Jail, this time with no bail.
Police say the case is being prosecuted in both the Town of Gaines and Town of Albion Court, due to the locations of the offenses.
Names of victims will not be released.
