Jamestown Police arrest man following chase

A 19-year-old Buffalo man led police on a long chase for more than a hour Friday night.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Buffalo man is in custody following a police chase Friday night in the Southern Tier.

Jordan W. Alexander, 19, is charged with unlawful imprisonment, reckless endangerment, and menacing.

Jamestown Police say officers attempted to stop a car in which Alexander was a passenger around 9:30 p.m. Friday. The driver kept going.

Officers were notified that during the pursuit, Alexander was holding the driver at gunpoint and not allowing her to stop.

Police followed the car from Jamestown through Falconer and Kennedy on I-86 before the driver turned around and headed back to Jamestown.

The vehicle finally stopped on Stowe Street, and police arrested Alexander.

The incident remains under investigation and additional charges are expected, according to Jamestown Police.

They say Alexander is wanted for multiple armed robberies in Buffalo, and Buffalo Police have filed detainer warrants for those crimes.
