BUFFALO, NY — An Elma man has pleaded guilty to the possession of child pornography, Acting U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced Thursday.

Kevin D. Waczkowski, 32, of Elma, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography, before U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo. He faces the maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant at Waczkowski's home in April 2016 and seized several electronic devices.

A forensic examination revealed that that Waczkowski was in possession of thousands of images of child pornography, including some of which depicted prepubescent children less than 12-years-old. Some depicted images of violence.

Waczkowski will be sentenced on November 16 at 2 p.m. before Judge Vilardo.
