BUFFALO, N.Y. -- There is something new in Delaware Park this summer that is a first of its kind in Western New York.

The Delaware Park Golf Course has been revamped to include an 18-hole FootGolf course, which was certified by the American FootGolf League on May 16.

FootGolf was named an official sport in 2011. The game pulls elements of both soccer and golf to create an entertaining game for all ages.

No experience is necessary to play. There are no clubs or cleats. All you need is just your feet and a ball. Players kick a soccer ball, starting from the tee box, along the course and try to sink it in the cup with as few kicks as possible.

Compared to golf, FootGolf is quicker and easier to play and doesn't require expensive equipment.
