BUFFALO, N.Y.--The Buffalo Bills players are helping feed families in need this Thanksgiving holiday.
The players, along with their families, handed out Thanksgiving meals during the annual Thanksgiving Blitz at the Food Bank of Western New York Tuesday.
Donations from the team's annual drive helped pay for the more than a thousand meals handed out.
"These are truly families that are in dire financial straits. We all need a little bit of help now and then, sometimes we just hit a bad patch in the road, so we're trying to get them through that patch," said Tara Ellis, Food Bank of Western New York President.
Bills players say they enjoy helping the community.
"It feels good just to give back to all the families out here and just doing it out here with my brothers and the family of the Buffalo Bills," said Bills Tackle, Cordy Glenn.
More than 600 families received all the fixings for a full Thanksgiving meal Tuesday.
