Easily the Best Place in WNY to Spend Singles Awareness Day. Yes, That is a Thing.

For some people, Valentine's Day isn't all it's cracked up to be and they couldn't be happier that it's over.

EAST AURORA, N.Y.-- There probably aren't many more days when single people could be more aware that they are single than on Valentine's Day. But long after the roses droop, the chocolate is gone and the champagne has lost its pop--you will be stuck with you.

Recently Kate Welshofer discovered a place that can help all of us take better care of and love ourselves. It's another Western New York must-see suggested by a Daybreak viewer.

"I think, first of all people need to know being single is okay," Susan Garguiolo says with a big smile. She is the kind of person you like immediately. She is the warm, welcoming, chilled-out superhero you maybe didn't know you needed.

"We just have to learn that each and every one of us is very special," she says, "each and every one of us is very important. We need to learn to just be with who we are and accept ourselves for who we are."

When it comes to living a happy, healthy life, Susan is here to help. She opened Creative Wellness Group in East Aurora in April. Walk through the door, and you instantly exhale, immediately relax. It is a calm, beautiful place. It is also home to an entire mind and body machine.

Susan has assembled more than 30 professionals--from yoga and massage therapists to nutritionists and psychotherapists, just to name a few. They are all dedicated to helping people live healthier and more balanced lives.

"People of all ages, people with all different health issues--whether they be physical or mental issues. We recently partnered with the Alzheimer's association creating a program called joint enrichment for both patient and caregiver and we are working with a lot of area physicians. it's just been amazing," Susan explains.

Sarah Sorci is Creative Wellness Group's resident holistic herbalist. She shares her passion for the power of plants. Recently, she hosted a timely workshop called "Herbs for the Heart." As it turns out, many herbs that support cardiovascular health can also support our emotions. Sarah prefers working with herbs that grow here in Western New York. She recommends the divinely named "Holy Basil."

"They help us to feel a deeper connection to our emotional heart, to a sense of joy, well-being," she explains, "just taking Holy Basil isn't going to be enough if there's a life change we need to make. If we're unhappy in our job, we can't just drink holy basil and have that solve our problems.

There is, after all, no magic solution, but Creative Wellness group can offer the power to transform

to every single person.

Many thanks to Daybreak viewer Jim for his email recommending Creative Wellness Group.
