Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Eagles signed
quarterback Trent Edwards to a one-year contract on Thursday.
The 28-year-old Edwards, who was released by the Oakland Raiders prior to the
2011 season, last played for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2010.
Originally a third-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2007, Edwards has
started 33 career games -- 32 for the Bills and one for the Jaguars. He's
completed 60.5 percent of his passes for 6,019 yards and 26 touchdowns.
