Durham, NC (Sports Network) - North Carolina Central will kick off the 2012
football season at home, but play there only three more times in an 11-game
schedule.
The Eagles will host Division II Fayetteville in the season opener at O'Kelly-
Riddick Stadium on Sept. 1.
They won't play at home again until hosting Hampton in Mid-Eastern Athletic
Conference action Oct. 20.
Their other home games also are against MEAC opponents, Delaware State on
Homecoming Day Nov. 3 and North Carolina A&T Nov. 17.
North Carolina Central will travel to Indianapolis to play MEAC foe South
Carolina State in the "Circle City Classic" at Lucas Oil Stadium, home of this
year's Super Bowl, on Oct. 6. The Eagles are 4-1 in NFL venues since 2000.
Coach Henry Frazier III's squad will play road games at Elon (Sept. 8) and FBS
opponent Duke (Sept. 15) in non-conference action, and travel to MEAC programs
Savannah State (Sept. 22), Morgan State (Oct. 13), Bethune-Cookman (Oct. 27)
and Florida A&M (Nov. 10).
The Eagles are coming off a 2-9 season, including 1-7 in the MEAC.
