Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - The Cincinnati Reds signed pitcher Manny Parra to a one-year contract on Friday.

Parra went 2-3 with a 5.06 ERA in 62 relief appearances for the Brewers last season.

The left-hander is 26-33 with a 5.12 ERA in 172 career games (74 starts) over five major league seasons, all of which came with Milwaukee.

The Reds also designated pitcher Todd Redmond for assignment.
