Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - The Utah Jazz announced the signing of
four free agents on Wednesday, including veteran guard Chris Quinn and forward
Darnell Jackson.
Quinn appeared in 41 games with San Antonio last season, averaging 2.0 points
and 7.1 minutes. The former Notre Dame standout has averaged 4.6 points and
1.9 assists over five NBA seasons with Miami, the New Jersey Nets and the
Spurs.
Jackson participated in a career-high 59 games with Sacramento during the
2010-11 campaign, averaging 3.2 points and 1.6 rebounds per contest, but spent
last season playing for BC Donetsk of the Ukranian League.
The 2008 second-round pick has also played with Cleveland and Milwaukee over
the course of his three-year NBA tenure.
Utah also signed center Bryan Butch and forward Trey Gilder on Wednesday.
Butch spent last season with the D-League's Bakersfield Jam, while Gilder
played in two games with Memphis in 2009-10 and was a member of the Jazz's
training camp roster last summer.
