POMFRET, NY - The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department says deputies have recovered a stolen urn.
The bronze urn, which depicts a swimming dolphin riding a wave, contains the ashes of the victim's late husband.
The break-in at the Pomfret home took place on April 4th.
Investigators says the victim went out in the morning to walk her dogs and found the urn in a bag on her porch. The urn was intact with only a small chip on the bottom and a few scratches on the side.
Police are still investigating the theft.
