BUFFALO, N.Y. -- DirecTV had issues with its signal Friday night, leaving many fans of the Buffalo Sabres not able to watch the first period of the team's game against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Many fans tweeted about the issue.  DirecTV told us the issue was technical in nature and was resolved.

The game came on DirecTV in time for the start of the second period.
