A study reveals many canadians support offering financial incentives to encourage organ donation.

Canada has a shortage of kidneys available for transplants -- and donation rates from both living and deceased donors have not increased.

So researchers asked over 2-thousand residents how they felt about compensation for donation.

70-percent believed financial incentives to be acceptable for deceased donors and 40-percent for living donors.

Most thought being reimbursed for funeral expenses and a tax break for living donors were the most satisfactory forms of compensation.
