GRAND ISLAND, NY--  Traffic was backed up for over a mile on the I-190 north due to a tractor trailer stuck in the Grand Island south tollbooth during the evening rush hour on Friday.

NITTEC reports the scene was cleared by 6:15 p.m.

State officials say the driver of the oversized tractor trailer used a lane that he shouldn't have.

New York State Troopers spent time at the scene working to get the truck unstuck.
