BUFFALO, N.Y. — The nice stretch of weather is coming to an end soon, but still beautiful conditions left before it does.

Mainly clear skies for Thursday night and a mild low of 50. Great conditions for viewing the Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower that peaks this weekend on Sunday.

Look to the east northeast after midnight once the constellation Aquarius rises with shooting stars seeming to radiate from it, up to 60 per hour potentially. With the new moon approaching that will allow for even better viewing as light decreases the ability to observe the meteor shower.

Friday will have partly to mostly sunny skies and very warm highs around 80. Rain showers and a few thunderstorms are possible in the evening, with showers lasting at times into Saturday.

Cloudy with scattered showers off and on for the weekend with potentially some partial clearing Sunday night and also Monday night, may provide another chance at seeing the meteor shower.

Stay tuned to Storm Team 2 for updates.
